It's not very smart to flee *after* being discovered as being a demon, while loudly announcing where your destination is. As a powerful demon, I'm more than sure she was capable of...You know, locking the damn door? Use a spell that prevents people from flipping the door open?
If she'd fly away while being undetected, who'd know it was the work of a demon?
