I'm glad there are guys in this comment section who are smart enough to recognize when a woman is looking for a gullible provider. When a single mom or a woman around her 30's suddenly shows interest in you, especially when most of the time women show no interest in you, then that probably means she's looking for a guy to take care of her instead of a guy who she's actually sexually interested in.

Secondly, the woman in the story was aware of his feelings for a long time. So also for this reason I don't buy her saying "if only you had confessed to me 10 years earlier". Personally I think she's using him. It's precisely because most of the westerners here are viewing things from a western perspective, western cultural norms and standards that they're bashing the mom in the story. Most don't understand that bullshit alimony laws are not the norm outside of the west. Most don't understand the REAL responsibility marriage entails when the state is not intervening, nor how hard it is on a woman without a social security blanket. They're basing their judgement on western whores and society, they don't understand how in the East there's higher expectations from married couples, after all the concept of arranged marriages here is seen as primitive and something you can just completely ignore, even if you're royalty.

Sometimes though Universities and institutions make shit up to push forward a feminsit agenda, like in the case of Matt Boermeester who was falsely accused of beating his girlfriend, and suspended from his University as well as simultaneously losing his scholarship. Not only was the accusation false, but his girlfriend attempted to defend him MULTIPLE times.

It's not just "better" it's seriously lopsided and favors women too much, much of the homeless population in western countries are men. With little to no support groups as well for male rape victims, male domestic abuse victims, mentally ill men, men with STDs (unless they're gay), little support for men with cancer, the only real support groups men has are Drug Abuse programs which are also available for women. It's so bad here that a woman who has been living underneath the roof of a man for 1 year and can prove it can "divorce" him and take away 50% of his belongings and demand for alimony, mind you this is in the US, in Canada, IIRC, correct me if wrong, it's only 6 months.
