What grade is Chris supposed to be in? It says middle school, but then the room sign said 4-1 (and the lower floor had 6-X for a middle school?). I looked at the French system and 4eme would be US 8th grade (13 years old) is that what you were going for?

Chris (and the others) are, in the french school system, in "5th grade" inside a building we call "Collège" (like 7th grade in middle school in the US).

Because if you look carefully at page 34, Chris and the others are at the "5th grade" corridor.

Then, Chris' age had been reduce to 12 years old (He was 22 yo).

Finally, the lower floor have "6" on the panels because in the french system, you start "Middle school" (Collège) at the 6th grade and you finish at the 3rd grade...
Yeah, we count backward but, it's because in France, we have 2nd, 1st and (if I can call it like this) "Last Class" in High School.
