I had a thought similar to @thecronosone. It seems like a lot of futa artists are "phasing out" the vagina. Maybe it's to save on work or maybe it's that the artists are recognizing that most of their audience is coming for the penis on the futa. One notable exception is Nobody in Particular, he's been drawing for futanari for several years now and he's kept the vagina. If we look at someone like Incase though, he's opted to not keep it. I've been a part of the "futa community" for a long time, like I would browse FutanariObsession.com daily, until it shut down. Perhaps it represents a change in Internet culture, at least on certain parts of the web. There's been a large spike in trap/crossdresser art in the past several years, which further blurs the line on "gender." I'm not pushing anything, I'm just saying I've noticed this shift and how often it sparks arguments. So, TL;DR, shut up and masturbate or leave.

This thread's a little old, but I felt the need to respond to this. I think the reason vagina's are "being phased out" is because people are trying to make their characters more realistic and representative of irl "dickgirls," pre-op trans women. I'd like to think that we're becoming more socially aware and that's why we're seeing this shift. Futa's used to be called "herms/hermaphrodites," which is awful because that isn't a term to be used with humans. Intersex is the term you're looking for there. I still see a lot of traditional futas, though. Guess it just depends on what communities you float through.

@metroid473 In the current usage, "hermaphrodite" or "hermaphroditic" means it is normal for an organism to have both sets of reproductive organs, while "intersex" encompasses a range of sexual abnormalities. You are technically correct that "hermaphrodite" cannot apply to humans, because humans in the real world are a sexually dimorphic species, but that is a recent change in the language so it is needlessly PC to complain about how "awful" things used to be. Stop trying to apply contemporary mores to the past. Futhermore, it is NOT correct when we're talking about a fictional world in which shemales, futas, dickgirls, or whatever appear to be quite normal. And this entire discussion becomes downright absurd when you remember that we're here to look at dirty pictures and masturbate. So, like @porno-mancer said, please fuck off with the language policing; you don't know what you're doing and you're killing the mood.
