Not really, Trunch got unreasonably shitted on for a series of animations involving suicide and cancer (even if I think that the ending was a bit dumb) and mentioned never having really liked doing graphic porn content anyway and later came back for doing more personal work.
That and some company that exiged the removal of adult content from easily accessible websites.

Straying too far from what? The artist didn't set any expectations for some sort of story that must be followed. Sounds like you set expectations up for yourself and was disappointed.
And it's one chapter that isn't even finished yet. Countless doujinshi and professional manga and comics don't stick to the path and have a one or two off-er.

If anything though, this chapter is showing off more attributes of these latex suits (they grant the ability to hear for deaf people, and I'm guessing sight for blind people), as well as things that people do in latex conventions (lube wrestling) supporting chapter 3's opening by having Ella buy more comics, as well as displaying Ella's current stance on Zeich. Getting into Tessa's chapter 3 obsession with that dragon girl (of which was foreshadowing this whole chapter in the first place. I think chapter 4 as well?), showing more of both their personalities. And Zeich's aggression is shown twice now. What's up with that?

Based off of what I just scanned through, it's not that bad or random, really. I guess different people like different things but straying too far? I wouldn't say that considering most of this story has been about pushing concepts involving living latex suits rather than any real storyline. Slices of life do that sometimes.

I love the progression of this comic. It's very well made for the transformation community. The longer it strays from the TF/the longer she is in the suit the more transformed she is when she comes out of it. Imagine the psychological changes she goes through after multiple encounters with her transformed self, she once saw her self as ugly transformed. Soon she might begin to associate that as herself. Maybe she will learn a thing or two from the dragon lady.
