So this is more or less just a test. This is a rough translation by me using an online translator (commissions can be expensive and take time) that I figured I'd share. I am not fluent in JP, nor a cleaner or a re-drawer. There may be mistakes but it is as accurate and as good as I can make it with my skill set. Some of it is educated guess work due to translator limitations (especially on non standard jp fonts). Reason why I say this is a test is because if it gets a lot of negative reviews and/or comments I won't bother posting anymore and keep it private.

Notes: I decided to leave Oji-san in instead of translating it. It refers to an older male/uncle and is somewhat informal. Just didn't feel the same if I changed it to "mister". Pg 2 the white sign said Combustibles but I couldn't find a practical/not pain the ass way to write on an angle for it.

I know there are type setting guides it's just when I see a font like that and the text is left aligned it instantly makes my brain think it's going to be bad and already is affecting my view of the work. And if the sound effects were handled a bit better honestly I think it would be good then. The more stuff publicly translated in some capacity the better though so thanks. Of course it might get classified as a rewrite I know that happened to someone that was taking commisions and using an online translator.

The typesetting was very poor. I think that's the main thing to fix up. Also, doing these things as a test are fine, but just doing it once, getting a bad reaction, and quitting is very poor work. Ideally, you should try it for a little while as you hone your skills. Once you're 10, 15 doujinshi down the line, and your typesetting is A-OK, and everything looks nice - THEN if you're getting really bad reactions, you can file it away. For now, it's your first work. Everyone is going to throw in their 2 cents. So try to take the constructive criticism, and try to do better next time. Like I said (and Crusher as well), the typesetting should be mopped up a little bit. Appearance is super huge, that's why plating is so big in the culinary world. Same thing here. I think you'll get vastly better reactions if the typesetting were to look a bit better!

@Aleden + crusher330 Fair enough with type setting comments. Tbh this was a work I just personally wanted translated and figured I'm probably not only one who wants it translated so I shared.

I should have elaborated before that I'm fine with constructive criticism; I honestly just didn't want to get bashed into the ground or rating bombed for trying to share with others despite my lack of skill. Having looked briefly into some type setting guides (which I didn't know existed before) I'll definitely try upgrading from ms paint(yes seriously) to gimp since it will give me some actual type setting options.

Just judging off number of favourites and ratings so far I'll probably keep trying, improving and sharing. My translations may not be the best of quality but at least I'll hopefully be able to share works that may otherwise never get translated at all. Thanks for genuine feedback I can work on!

I commend you for at least trying and doing some work. (This is better than those people who begs for English translation expecting it that it will be just "easy" to do).

But I believe that you can do better than that. Try to set the font into middle allignment and center it and place it carefully into the center of the bubbles. Get some basic guides in typesetting to learn more.

As for the translations... Of course people here hates machine translations, but getting the context and giving it a "proper English" translation will make those machine translations "understandable". Try to type your scripts and reread them if you can "comprehend" the sentences properly, be creative but maintain the context. Get someone to read the scripts and work with a "proper" sentences. If English is your native language, then it will be easy fo you to create sentences in "proper English". (Or if English is your Second Language, like me, I believe proper practice and experience will make up for it.)

Anyways... I will not say you did a great job... but at least you did well "on-your-own-level". Thanks for sharing and you are pretty much welcome in the (vicious) world of scanlations.

I've done some very amateur typesetting and editing before for non-h stuff, GIMP is free, fonts are free all over the place. the hard part is getting good with font placement and non-traditional font sprawls. Regular text bubbles/boxes in black and white or even transparent colors will be easier and come with practice.

I appreciate the effort and hope that after translating it through a machine, you go back and re-read and write it so it makes more sense. It's porn, it doesn't have to be translated 100% accurate, I hate it when i'm reading gibberish and trying to decipher it on my own. good luck to you if you decide to continue down this path, the sense of accomplishment on a good product is a good feeling. Do it for fun and yourself, not for other people though. People are assholes.

Who the fuck cares about perfect translation, this is just porn anyways. Also, there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING wrong with the grammar in this one; is the translation itself perfect? I dunno cuz I don't know the original Japanese but who cares, the translation don't need to be perfect. I would MUCH MUCH rather he go translate other works and do a 50 times worse translation than working trying to sharpen up his "grammar" and do slower translations, unless he wants to.
