One thing that the TMNT franchise establish with the "Turtles forever" special is that all versions of TMNT should be viewed as being different realities. That was further elaborated upon in the "Trans Dimensional Turtles" episode of the Nickelodeon series and the "Wanted bebop and Rocksteady" special.

One character who appeared in all versions of the TMNT franchise was Karai but she differed so much from one version to the other. But by far her biggest roles have been in the IDW comic book series and the Nick cartoon series.

In the IDW series, Karai is a teenager who has bloodlust on her mind as she has no issue in leaving a body count in her wake in order to make the Foot Clan the feared clan they used to be in forgone years, even using black magic to bring back Oroku Saki back from the dead so he can lead them.

The Karai from the Nickelodeon series is the daughter of Hamato Yoshi and she was stolen from his home as an infant by Oroku Saki and raised as his own. But a loving Father-Daughter relationship they certainly have not, Shredder is very strict on her, allowing her very little freedom, she's flown over from japan to New York to be used as a weapon against her true father and her love interest: Leonardo. She revolts and it leads to some very nasty betrayals from her foster parent. Where she's mutated and brainwashed.

Now what if those two VERY different Karais were to meet?

Note also that page 9 and page 17 have the other Karais, even the one from the Michael Bay movies appear.

...This story adds nothing other then a chance to accuse "IDW" Karai, as a big dumb meanie. And you pointlessly kill off the other Karais, who are well liked characters. Including Mirage Karai and 2003 Karai, who are beloved characters.

TMNT Karai as well, I assume?

Furthermore, IDW Karai apparently made a deal with Splinter later on in the issues.

This is a bad fanfic, that does not show respect to the characters. The 'Victory" is for a silly reason. (She...wasn't prepared for Karai as a mutant). Or, rather, an anticipatory reason. Anyone who's seen the show can see this coming.

I do not like it, and am a HUGE Fan of Karai.

Not true on the latest page. Even if someone has been 'declared legally dead' if they can prove that they are actually alive (meaning present themselves in a courtroom or in front of a government official) those things can be rescinded as in the case of the one guy in my area who had that happen to him after 'dropping off the radar' for a few years.

@Lerianis Well, I figured the police had interviewed former Foot Clan members who told them about the mutagen accident, figuring they'd think he never survived that. And after seeing the security camera footage for themselves, drawing the same conclusion.

And it was a key point in my story.
