Assumptions, when combined with sex and relationships, only serve to fuck everything up.
And flirting, regardless of how overt and/or sexual in nature (even to the point of sexual harassment, which complicates things further), does not automatically convey consent. Quite right. After seeing the drama going on over this piece I went back and took a look at what started it. This is framed really weirdly, as if we are supposed to be sympathetic to the person that sexually harassed Tails repeatedly until she decided to just go for it. I wouldn't exactly call striping completely nude and bending over to give her a better view 'flirting' either, especially with several scenes of Tails announcing that she isn't comfortable with it.
