epilogue (edited because someone wanted me to clear some things up):

A week passes and we see 'nice guy' on a date with a girl he seems to know talking about resent events. the girl remarks on the resent murder suicide of the guys friend/co-worker (the heroine) and apparently the person she was seeing. the guys face grows melancholic as he recalls the night he last say his close friend a person he had grown so attached to while working side by side with her that he was just about ready to take the next step for their relationship. As 'nice guy' watched the two having sex in the shrine his phone's speakers go off as he was in the middle of talking to the girl he would be later dating and the subject was introducing her to his close friend/co-worker. Everyone hears her badgering 'nice guy' about not responding to her asking if he had met up with his co-worker and he responds "yeah i kinda almost crashed her meet-up with her boyfriend i was thinking they might want their alone time ill leave her a reminder about the meet-up before i go" the sudden change from utter shock and horror at the scene surprised everyone including 'nice guy'. The reason why 'nice guy' could do this as he would later find out is because he was on some level aware that the girl on the phone was really into him as he helped her deal with a rather nasty breakup by accident and so with his dream relationship dashed he found a new emotional pillar to cling to giving him confidence to handle this situation. after hanging up he turns to leave with his the heroine begging him not to leave and his only response being that he 'doesn't want to get between the two as they seem to have history'.
once 'nice guy' is gone NTR-guy attempts to continue his business with his captive but find only an unresponsive 'dead fish' in his arms as the girl was seemingly shook to her core by resent events. the guy then drops her and tells her to come to his house the day of the meet-up as he was very pissed that 'nice guy' spoiled his fun by being so calm about everything. On that day as 'nice guy' and his soon to be girlfriend wait for the other two to show up a news report comes on telling of how a woman during sex sliced the dick of the man she was sleeping with shoved the phallic up his anus and stabbed him repeatedly and the killed herself. everyone wore faces of shock and aw but 'nice guy' couldnt muster up the emotions for a visible response. he would later apologize to his co-workers mother and as she violently curses him out for not chasing after and protecting her it was at this point that he realized that he could no longer actually think of the heroine as a friend or close to him so he only really thinks of her as a co-worker he knew. in the current day the scars of the past have caused 'nice guy' to be overly cautious about his relationship but his girl friend who has pieced together what was behind his behavior strives to support him the way he did her. the story closes on the girlfriend wearing a ring/pendant that through flashbacks you can see 'nice guy' planning to engrave it and give it to co-worker girl with the significance being that it was meant for someone that could support him just as he supports them.

also just wanted to say this kinda follows the theme of all the 'action' happens in the main 'situation' or off panel and what you get is 'nice guy' moving on and because both people in this new relationship had rather emotionally damaging past relations they aren't going to move to quickly as even if they aren't meant for each other they are there to listen to and support one another in a way nobody did before. as a result there is no scene with 'nice guy' having sex but there could be a scene of the main heroine fucking NTR-guy the day of the meetup and finally processing how she got here and how she cant 'run away anymore' and chooses to end it all. i also realize that her killing the guy actually helps 'nice guy' because a scumbag like that would definitely try to get back at him for acting high and mighty, ruining his fun in the process.

i understand your point of view and im not saying that the girls is 'a terrible person that deserves to suffer' she is an idiot with little to no critical thinking skills like most NTR girls (primarily the once that arent simply drugged or mind-controlled) she is a nice person who genuinely loved the 'nice guy' but through faulty logic ruined her immediate relationship with someone she liked and thats the point. my 'fanfic' as it were is not to help the girl because she has been characterized as someone who is easily susceptible to blackmail and wont communicate with others about her problems opting instead to let the problem fester hoping no-one will notice. instead of focusing on redeeming her i chose to futher characterize the 'nice guy' as most NTR cucks lack any characterization other than being 'nice' or a 'joe shmoe' so giving him an actual response and development to these events eventually moving on not as a 100% ok person but instead as slightly damaged goods shows that the guy had character.

at the end of the day in NTR the girl will almost never go back to the guy unless shes been through away, the NTR-guy dies, or she's still cheating so at the end the girl gives in leaving the cuck guy to suffer or in the bittersweet endings he ends up taking care of his defiled partner and a bastard child so i just didnt feel particularly motivated to give her a happy ending instead opting to turn her into a distant memory for the guy to slowly get over later in life
