I think it's because it's stereotypical yaoi for women. Knife chins, big eyes, no actual sex, no drawn genitalia (though that's more a censoring issue), etc. Compare this to any trap doujin that mysterymeat would take up, or even the furry stuff that's more explicit and the review difference is massive.
I'm not saying fujos can't make good yaoi, but this kind of doujin doesn't really float as well with this crowd.

hmm, that's a valid argument. though I honestly think this art style is very pretty and not too "yaoi"-esque (I've seen SO much worse). you're right about the censoring though.
still, I see a lot of mediocre or even subpar art on here that gets 4 or 5 stars just because it's women with big boobs. oh well, why am I even surprised.
