God dammit, I knew moving to Linux would have side effects, I just didn't know web browsers not supporting gpu acceleration would be the thing that caught me of guard. Lesson of the day: don't move to Linux if you're going to use online image galleries and video streaming services - the image quality will be significantly worsened in the browser. At least in the case of certain videos and images ...like the ones in the gallery above.
