I honestly don't give a shit if this comic is connected to Silver Soul, fuck this story. You had a beautiful story of a trainer and her Pokemon surviving together because they were the only thing they had for each other, growing together, propping up for what looked like a beautiful love story, or at least a good story about companionship. But then because this story is a prequel to the artist's bigger universe, the writing in the third act decided it wants to suddenly throw smackings of netorare and have one of the main characters run away, hold out on some random route, and rape (or "take") every woman and female Pokemon he comes across out of betrayal.

Page 7: "She would be gone for most of the year, leaving only a few weeks for vacation."

Page 10: One year later with seemingly no contact the entire time, she's in her third trimester with some guy she apparently fell head over heels for without ever telling her literal only other loved one about any of this.

I agree with Derasit: why didn't she attempt to contact her Pokemon, the literal only other living being in her life, in the year they were apart? She never called, she never wrote, clearly she never visited during her off time, and suddenly she meets some random, rich prick and offers her (what I assume to be) virginity, womb, and future to?! Considering we see that this girl was supposed to be self-made, self-taught and self-reliant thanks to living on her own almost her entire life, that's a pretty shit turn of character to suddenly decide to jump into some guy's bed after knowing him for a couple months at best and love and trust him enough to accept bearing his child.

Not to mention: what a random last few pages, the Charizard suddenly becomes a highwayman and, what I can only assume from his half-baked "take everything you want in life" moral, serial rapist because he gets betrayed after only being a year apart. Yeah, he went down a "dark path", but it's a nonsensical one that comes out of fucking nowhere. Gotta love that in many adult comics, you get poorly written characters have the moral flexibility and consistency of a half-melted rubber band.

If this comic wanted to be the backstory for a couple of characters of a larger universe, then the comic needed to be longer to accommodate better explanations. Instead, we get ten pages of a beautiful story of a girl and her Pokemon, and then five pages of a rushed backstabbing, a sloppily written heel turn, and sudden rape (or at least, heavy seduction since he's "taking" his sexual partners in page 13) before we get, "Oh, I might want to reconnect with my trainer since I am not feeling emotionally fulfilled by being a common thief and sexual assaulter."

If I wanted to read a comic or doujin of Pokemon raping and/or getting raped, there are plenty of options here; I simply cannot get past the sudden "I must take everything," character turn that takes place because literally nothing in the comic leading up to that point suggests that he was capable of doing anything like that.

Considering how long Silver Soul and some of the other prequel comics are, this comic needed at least five more pages to better explain the intentions of the characters and give a more proper conclusion if we needed to see the Charizard run away and then repent. As it stands, this feels more rushed than the PlayStation Classic, and equally as sloppy in execution. This story seriously needed some more time in the oven, or simply not be written as a prequel to this artist's larger canon.

Lets do a realy simple math:

Pregnancy takes 9 months (if she just not incubating some pokemon for that rich guy). Soon she will give bith so its 7-9 month. They didnt saw eachother for less than year. So... lets take it is 11 months

11-7 = 4

So she got pregnant after max 4 months of knowing eachother.. lets pass her safe days, virginity or even fail attempts to impregnate(if there was any)

I dont realy want to judge but this comic realy miss some pages what could explain what happend to her. I realy just have a huge hope she just carry not his child but some pokemon who need womb to get birth and soon on later they will be together again. Just look at their faces at Page "11". Its not "true, clear" love between them imho .

You know, I frequent this degenerate website on the daily to escape from my enduring heartache, and of all the artists I expected to render me a pathetic mess, Matemi was not one of them. The work is great, and the story well done, don't get me wrong. But damn, this is so sad.
