It is not the same. you turned dark grays into blacks - that is ok, but also turned light grays into dark grays.
You need to adjust the numbers/sliders so dark grays turn into blacks and light grays turn into whites.
You also need to pay attention to detail loss when doing this.
It is best done immediately before applying any text/cleaning.
To level the pages you made, white would have to be as low as 180 to eliminate all the noise.
For the raw it would be much higher - resulting in less detail loss.

I also suggest saving full color scanned pages as jpg with 90 or 95 quality. The size difference is massive while barely affecting visual quality.

so i tried using your tutorial.
it's pretty much the same as how i leveled them but the software that you recommended can level multiple images at once. thanks to your recommendation, i don't have to level them one by one anymore. i use photoshop to level the images so yeah, i do it one by one.
