It made my day to see such a ridiculous level of censorship, up to the level of suspecting that artist tried to make Nagumo's past to look much-much darker, where not only his hand but also his D was amputated and that dumb black metallic bar was a substitute for it o_O

Arifureta anime really become some pitiful example of epic level of trashy adaptation, it's hard to find something that was killed on so many levels till becoming worser than a crap like a Magi's Grandson or Isekai Cheat Magician. In contrary there also exist some cases like Knights and Magic(pretty much the same Magi's Grandson, just with mecha) that even while being LNs of at most average quality weren't adapted in a cheap way and censored/edited to no end, so the final product looks way better than the average adaptations of good novels. Some series are just cursed to fail and never have the anime of corresponding quality, while the other ones might not be as good(or good at all) initially but still ends up being blessed with adaptation by some decent production team with reasonable amount of budget.
