I wish it said when it was made.(it probably does but i can't read Chinese). I would like to know what all this is about. Was this a political magazine, like the New Yorker? meant to give news on the region? What is this? what was it for?
Really wishing we had a universal translator already.

@yperh The language used in this magazine is a LOT different then what China is using for now, which makes it much harder to translate as well. (Well at least easier then ancient Chinese)

@deepjierui Oof. Well, i suppose a translation was unlikely anyway, considering its A) not sexy and B) hard to translate. Still, that makes me want to learn about how Chinese evolved so much over the course of what, 85 years? Government and school policies had to have been part of it.

not only politics, the comics and articles and jokes are talking about variety social phenomenons, economics, relationship between man and woman, drug issue, international events, etc. Most of them are sarcasm and not happy stories(due to the country's situation in that period and also the predominant wind direction of creation among the creators). Also the style of the writing is a transitional form between the ancient chinese and the modern mandarin called "Vernacular Chinese".
