Kind of a weak attempt at a happy ending there. Seeing as neither of them has any money or title, I can only assume they happened across some poor farming family and murdered them for their land. That, or they're homeless vagabonds sneaking into peoples' barns and stealing their fruit aka their livelihood. Whatever the moral of this story is, it's terrible and I hate it.

You're free to come up with whatever explanation you want, but my headcanon is that they rode a very long way to eventually find an abandoned barn on an overgrown peach orchard. Alternatively, they could have offered their services to a farmer in exchange for lodging in the barn. If the only thing your imagination can come up with is murder though, have at it I guess.

Murder is the only logical answer here. One of them is a spoiled princess and the other is a glorified show pony. they have no real world skills on top of being in a taboo relationship. No one in their right mind would allow them to live and work on their land, much less in their homes. Thus, the only reasonable conclusion is that the centaur donkey-kicked the farmer and his family to death before drawing crude pictures of the barn's former owners on the wall of their new fuck hut. The whole thing is utterly reprehensible.
