Is the NTR avoidable or do all routes lead to similar endings?

Not enough material to figure out if there's a vanilla route.

You only start the NTR routes by talking to NPCs with exclamation marks over their heads and it's more work to keep the route going then it's to not, so the possibility of there being a neutral or vanilla route does exist.

To contradict that long sentence, the dev did mention the goal he has in mind while making this game is to give you something along the lines of an erotic erection from ntr, so a vanilla route does go against that.

All Shinachiku Castella's previous works incorporated a vanilla route and this one will as well. That said, it obviously won't be the focus of this game so the amount of (sex)scenes will not be very high. The game seems to be very emotional with quite a lot of text to flesh out the characters and their relationship so that the NTR stings even more.

Considering how part of the game was to unlock childhood memories, its pretty reasonable to believe there would be at least some kind of good ending if you managed to collect all of them before summer ends.

Happy End is confirmed- yes. All NTR is avoidable. Infact- each NTR route has to be started by certain events- so technically you could skip the days and ignore Ryoko- and she would still not be NTR'd... But to get the Happy End- it requires you to unlock all childhood memories which you find at the end of a cave- and otw you break different colored gems to make a path- to break the gems you need a certain amount of points depending- like Love/like, Fitness, Knowledge, etc.

All in all- it's a great take on the NTR genre because of the use of SNS video and chat/calls and voicemails/calendars and diaries to give the protagonist a visual or idea- some sort of perspective without just directly telling you Ryoko is fucking other guys. There's also pixel art animations if you catch Ryoko in certain acts- much of the protagonist perspective events require you to visit Ryoko when she's with someone else and investigating the door- or finding a heart for a scene off to the side somewhere. There is a ton of opportunities for this even in the demo.. And if you really fuck up(or don't if NTR is your thing)- Ryoko will be monopolized a whole day and you won't be able to get a chance to hang out with her- then she'll come home tired- with bated breath- go straight to bed with her door locked. And in the morning you'll notice changes in her sprite- like a hickey. Minor details like that through the game- and with the subheroine. Really set together a story without throwing the scenes in your face.

And if you want the scenes in your face you can go to Ryokos room and check her calendar which will allow you to select a day and see the event from her perspective. But to me it's a lot less interesting than stalking her and seeing where she goes without knowing she's being followed.

The 2nd release you're referring to was Kaguya Games, the English publisher's decision. For the JP version, it was just a bonus update.
