I love Nakani's works. Usually they're pretty simple love stories but the way it's told has this surreal style to it. Nakani often plays with repetition of events so you wonder where the story is going, the sex scenes are frantic even underplayed given the build up, and everything has this weird kind of unnatural aspect to it. And the faces add to it either expressing bizarre shock or bestial lust. And that's all without convoluted storylines or messy confusing art like most resort to when trying to attempt something in a similar vein.
