From what I could gleam, story is essentially about a guy who laments his dull life. He remembered his childhood friend got married to someone and he wished he made a move on her back then. He got Peggy Sue'd to when he was young and in front of said childhood friend. He decided to use this second chance of sorts to go through life in Easy Mode (hence part of the title). He slept with his childhood friend. He slept with his gyaru older sister. When he got older, he mingled with high society and slept with rich women and actresses. He ended up marrying said actress and impregnated her. One night, as he was about to sleep—and the following is just pure speculation on my part—he might've still had lingering feelings for his childhood friend because he might've heard she got married to someone else again. So during the lull of sleep, he accidentally Peggy Sue'd himself back to that point in time again. He probably decided to just roll with it and get together with the childhood friend instead.

That's how I see things going anyway. Seemed a good way to end it too. Started the story with the desire to be with childhood friend; ended the story with the desire to be with childhood friend.
