Sorry but IMO this wasn't the right doujin to save as 17 colors... There's noticeable banding in places, like on Minami's elbow at page 2.
In general, reducing the palette entries should only be done when shading is done through screentones. In that case one doesn't care about the precise intensity of every single dot, just that the overall impression remains the same. Continuous gradients on the other hand are much better managed by plain old JPG (i.e., for a given perceived quality JPG is smaller).
