Since the author seems to be using the Wolf nomenclature I'm gonna assume he was using wolf terms. No, the Alpha-Beta thing was proven to be false since the wolves the author used were unrelated and were in a "prison" so they adapted a prison pecking order of might makes right. Wolves in the wild actually use the Nuclear Family structure with the Alphas being the parents and Omegas being their children, with older Omegas leaving the pack to find a mate and form a new pack, which originated the whole "lone wolf" myth.

Omegaverse is being used here. The rules aren't standard, but there are guides for shit like this. Basically think of the genetic lottery, but omegas are destined to be "claimed" by an alpha. There are heat cycles, pheromones, dicks, and mpreg. And yes, some written settings will have female omegas, while female alphas will have dicks.

Soon I think Omegaverse may be a tag on this sight, given that they are beginning to accumulate. Mitsuhime Moka wrote one or two of them.
