From what I gather the "reason" for the NTR is that MC is saying he wants to leave. He points out a multitude of reasons why it sucks and the girl tries to counter him by saying how pretty the scenery is. Then MC ditches her like the tsundere he is. So the girl must feel like she doesn't have a chance since she likes it there and casually hooks up with Playboy-kun. Playboy-kun knows she likes MC and mocks her so she hits him. No rape. Girl just wants to move on from MC who will eventually leave her.

I also am baffled by the progression of events. MC wants to go live in the city. The only reason that the childhood friend gives to MC to stay is she likes him. MC gets embarrassed and leaves. Then seemingly in the same day childhood friend is fucking the school playboy whom she doesn't like, because she's bored and the only fun thing to do is have sex?

The lack of a build up isn't the problem with this story. The lack of any logical progression of events is the problem. I don't believe that MC and heroine have such a close relationship in the first place if the heroine is just having sex with even just one random asshole, possibly very regularly. If she liked MC, and the only reason she gives for wanting him to stay is because she likes him then there's nothing keeping her in the town and just going with him to the city; so why is she having sex with to local douche?

Honestly, I wouldn't even be mad if I was the MC in this situation, I'd just be disgusted that this person I thought I knew and whom had just confessed to me was apparently casually having sex with people for fun, but she had apparently never asked the person she supposedly likes if he wanted to have sex with her.

Now, I'm coming at this as someone who does like and read a lot of NTR content. This is the lowest tier of NTR stories I've seen, but unfortunately there are a lot of stories like this. Where it feels like the male lead was just added in there for the sake of adding an NTR tag onto an otherwise empty and pointless sex scene. The strongest praise I have for it is that the art is pretty good, at least.
