Ralph Bakshi's one of the best.

"Wizards" and LOTR were a couple of my favorites.
I always somewhat preferred Elinore in that canvas sack, honestly (image no. 62, page 18). But then I like tomboys so maybe that's tangentially relevant. She looks less traditionally "feminine" in that picture, but still has that lovely face.

We didn't have HBO (and anyways I didn't see it before), but I also like #156 (page 42).

Underrated artist. I disagree thoroughly with his politics and worldview. But he is carved himself a place in fame, and the world genuinely does need more artists pushing limits. Making the medium of animation not a "kids genre" [cringe]
