Translated from a translation.
A Chinese translation no less.
How much was lost in translation?

Wow, didn't think this would ever be translated. Any chance you can work on the sequel for this?

@user00 If one HAS to use a previous translation as basis, to minimize loss of meaning it stands to reason that the intermediate language should be close syntactically and/or semantically to either the source or target languages. Sadly Chinese is neither; people knowledgeable about the matter opined that apart from using ideograms there are few grammatical similarities between it and Japanese.
To suggest that they must be necessarily similar because both both languages use ideograms would be tantamount to imply that e.g English and Russian should be similar because both use alphabets...

That's cool but how much was lost in translation?
It's just porn but I'm curious as to how much was lost going from Japanese to Chinese to English.

@Retconner I would like to translate the sequel too (and the rest of this artist's works, and some other artists too), but it's a long and arduous effort. Please be patient and wait warmly.

@user00 There was two different Chinese translations. I compared both of them to each other, and also compared it with the original Japanese doujin (using Google translate). The two Chinese translations are mostly similar except for some parts where the context completely changes. I used the translation that is most similar to the original Japanese version, but honestly there was a lot of guesswork involved too since Google translate seems to not translate Japanese very well compared to Chinese. I will admit that I am not fully fluent in Chinese, and a lot of translation apps were used. I also had help with proofreading from my Discord friends, some of them who are much more fluent in Chinese than I am. And at the end of the day, the translated words and phrases have to make sense in English, so I had to change the literal translation into something more "natural" for English, as well as making sure that the script makes sense in context.

Rest assured that although it is very possible and likely that things are lost in translation, I tried my best to stay as close as possible to the original Japanese version.

I'm chinese. What I can find out is that JP>>CH text traslation has less information loss due to similar ideograph. And for these EN texts, I can find little loss, either. Those dialogues' grammar are very simple.
