I haven't actually seen SAO, so I can't judge the anime for myself.

However, if I did come across an anime with cute girls but a terrible story, I'd definitely drop it.

EDIT: In case anyone gets the wrong impression, I'm not hating on SAO -- I'm simply quoting the title of the gallery, the way the uploader named it.

I haven't seen the anime either but I don't understand the point of the title (whoever came up with it). Even if it's really that bad anime, those who agree would click anyway and those who don't will only get pissed. Meaningless title with the only purpose to provoke.

Yeah, the anime is bad. That's why it's one of the more popular animes around with 100 episodes, a movie with another movie coming out next year, and like half a dozen video games.

I could agree with the title, not because it's popular but because I genuinely drop the series after episode 10. Let's get real, online in SAO serves no purpose cause online game is the one that taught me that it's impossible to advance the game smoothly by soloing. 'Beater' is a ridiculous concept in the first place cause playing beta should never give any player overly OP trait. That kind of game that handing out beta player game breaking advantage is generally a shitty game.

I haven't even technically sat down & watched much of SAO, outside of a few random clips; however, even from what little I HAVE seen, I'm forced to agree the gallery title is pretty accurate...

Side note - just in response to a few other commentors talking about 'popularity'...

Just because something is classed as popular, doesn't automatically mean it's good - the term "lowest common denominator" exists for a reason!
