like jpg version of game cg uploaded as torrent or on a download site like mediafire sometime after the png version.
sometimes all that is for a game cg is the bulky png version , while the quality is great and apperciated , having a jpg option available is wanted.

The best method for (lossless) archiving is to decompress into BMP and pack them into 7z.
A 1GB PNG gallery can easily be reduced to 100MB and is smaller than lossy JPG converts.
It's a pity nobody on this site does that (I would love to but I have a bandwidth quota).
