@NSFWRB I did try to noise reduction, but the quality in the scans wad too high to really do much, though i did over compensate with leveling, I'll probably try to get back to better cleaning on this one when I get some breathing room from commissions

Your scans seems to be hyper over-leveled on the blacks that some of the greys are being crushed. Maybe tone it down a little more and denoise the dust instead.

Adjusting the gamma would probably help if you don't crank up the black to much. In GIMP adjusting the gamma is the little trinagle between the ones for black and white and should be something similar in PS.
1. Adjust the black first and apply changes to the image.
2. Open the dialog again and adjust the gamma seperately from the black. If you try to adjust both at the same time the impurities you want to get rid of will mostlikely also get brighter and reappear.
I experimented with two images and black to 35 and gamma to 1.3 seemed to work.
