I wouldn't say the faces are better. They are different but its more like and enhanced focus on the face compared to CSR. These are a little more intricate while CSR's are more simple, but we all know what CSR is focused on. Its right in the name. But I'll take the work of both. Its all good to me.

I believe CSR avoids doing genitals all the time to keep a degree of tactfulness on his drawings. It's definetly a form of Erotica and Shexyo isn't any different in that regard. Besides nipples he has hardly drawn actual genitals aside from one or two occasions.

It's not just the shading. It looks like they use the same brush tools, layering methods, proportions and anatomy too.
Not that I'm gonna complain, I just thought the similarity was interesting. They're basically interchangeable, so I'm thinking they're either the same person under a different name, or their artstyles have some correlation to each other.
Of course, I could be wrong both ways and it could just be a coincidence, but even that is super uncanny.

For those saying he is directly copying CSR, I don't think so. It's more likely he is learning digital drawing and CSR is his direct referencing "master", instead of going to Art school, starting from the ground up or looking at classic drawings. This is a very normal procedure, albeit unorthodox in most people's mind

Giving it time, he should develop a style of his own, as he gradually finds tools, lines, shading and colors that suits his intuition and taste, more.

It's clear that Shexyo is taking CSR as his "master", but there are clear differences between their work. CSR tends to exaggerate more the anatomy and the musculature. Shexyo doesn't exaggerate as much and the musculature is mainly in the back. I'm looking forward to see how Shexyo work evolves over time and differentiates from CSR's.

Artist Shexyo seems to go beyond CuteSexyRobutts with a slightly new angle. He's not copying CSR and you can see his color palette is different from CSR's palette that is weighted towards tints instead of Shexyo's liking for shades. Instead of CSR's lighter touch of character features (which means his chars can look like they are from more than one game or anime), Shexyo makes the characterization more definite. Basically, he seems to look for the trademark features of that character, and makes sure they are strongly a part of the picture.
