Steven is a nice man who wants to spend his Halloween helping the elderly in a nursing home: that's how his path crosses the one of a peculiar old lady. After this meeting, his life won't be the same anymore.

The body modification tag shouldn't be here. The definition reads "altering parts of the body in some artificial way, such as with non-organic augmentations, body part addition or removal, and unusual body part placement". In other words, implants, synthetic body extensions, and other sci-fi stuff like being turned into a cyborg or android.

But in this comic, someone is magically being changed into someone else. That's not body modification.

Also this feels really overwritten, like the author was trying to make this seem like it's more fancy or important than it really is.

Transformation is solid, though! It's just too bad the story's over before anything fun can happen after that.

Okay let me recap so I can try to make sense of this. Steven goes into an old folks home and this woman decides that him, of all people, should be her target. She then morphs him into a younger man, then a younger woman. Then she herself morphs into Steven and walks out like nothing happened, taking over his life I presume.

Meanwhile the real Steven has now been teleported 50 years into the past, right after 'he' killed someone. They're then promptly arrested and I think the assumption is that Steven spends their life in prison and eventually gets sent to the old folks home again until he decides to bodynap another person to continue the cycle?

So bizarre.

@Mrmanandu It's not a cycle, it's a predestination paradox, because they're both the same person. Stephanie is him, after spending 50 years as her and having had to serve a prison sentence for (Presumably) murder

I would have assumed that "Stephanie" never actually existed and is just a form Steven gets turned into for 50 years.

Except. after "Stephanie" turned into young Steven, and young Steven has been turned into young Stephanie and sent back in time, Older Stephanie's body is still at the old folk's home.

So who the hell's body IS that?
