If they're not going to put in even a minimum of effort in their work, then I want them to go the fuck away and stop posting shit on e-hentai, that's all. I have seen literally thousands upon thousands of crappy scanlations on this website over the years I've used it, without so much as any criticism, and I fear that McHentai (a term I use to define fast and cheap hentai "scanlations") seems to be the norm rather than the exception today. If you're going to post on e-hentai, AT LEAST TRY! Let me be perfectly clear: I AM NOT LOOKING FOR PERFECTION! I'm simply looking for a general competency that should be standard in ALL uploads, which isn't really all that fucking hard to do: Clean bubbles, centered text boxes, and an English script that's actual conversational English. That's it.

It's eminently clear that someone who uploads something like this is not trying. It's that simple. Aligning text in the bubble is not difficult except for a few awkward geometries. Making sure the text is centered rather than left-justified is trivial. Cleaning the raw text out of plain white bubbles is literally the single easiest step in the translation process. This isn't demands for excellent redrawing, or for the perfect dynamic SFX. These are not something that takes skill or that people need to be given advice on. They're self-evident. Nobody could produce this, look at it, and think to himself "yes, this looks good", because it looks awful. That means the person who released it was not judging to the standard of "is this as good as I can make it?" but instead to the bare minimum to call it done.

The reason he's so aggressive is probably that he's sick to death of seeing lazy, low-effort uploads. It's one thing to see uploaders who aren't good at scanlation. It's another to see ones like this who aren't trying to be good.

It's my first time doing this at all so excuse me for it not being the best at this but this guy sounds like a massive dick, he can critique my work without trying to insult me. I simply wanted to translate something I liked, hopefully, inspire people better than me to do a better translation of this doujin, a lot of underrated gems on this site that never got a translation. That being said, aside from the negative criticism from TH Dragon, it seems a lot of people liked this first-time post. If a professional wants me to improve on this and shows me the means, I would like to hear it. Assuming I'm not going to take advice is stupid and counterproductive on TH's part.

I get where @THDragon is coming from. Typesetting is really bad, there are spelling mistakes, bad grammar, sentences seem wordy, and it feels like this was just put together and never checked for quality. I am in no position to offer advice since I've never done this but I recommend comparing your work to other's and gasping where it falls behind. If you can improve, rework this, and not abandon this. I'll say you're on the correct road.
