Beatrix Farmer was created by one Steve Gallacci back in the day and, after a while, noticed by Taral Wayne, who drew her origin story, penned by Gallacci with some nudges from Taral. Said origin story was published in black and white in 1995 through the usual suspect - MU Press.
Two years later, in month of January, year of 1997, it was reprinted through Vision Comics after digital remastering and colourization, as presented in this gallery; with second issue, penned and drawn by Taral on his own this time, coming shortly after - in month of March of the same year.

Unfortunately for artist and writer, about that chronomark Big Comics once again did what it does best - fucked up. General headfullofshiteness of Marvel led to annual bankruptcy of that esteemed venture, and - as a consequence of one or another - to annual record decline of interest in comics medium in general... or so the story goes. Be it as it was, while plans for the Bea's misadventures continuation were laid, sans short stories drawn by different artists and printed here and there for the few years afterwards, they remained financially unfeasible to implement in full until the passion burned away, as it seems.

As of now, any form of potential reboot/continuation stands downright impossible in the general pattern of things since nobody knows about it beyond few senility-stricken antediluvian fossils, all while Taral himself trudges slowly towards the end of his seventh decade roaming this sinful realm, and gradually becomes more and more disenfranchised in pretty much everything, finally nearing the degree of knurd I was born with.

In a way, I'm glad I largely missed the "boom" of comics in the 90s. It sounds a lot like what's gradually happened to the video game "industry": an exciting medium with a bunch of enthusiastic fans grew too fast and was utterly destroyed by a handful of very stupid and very greedy rich fucks more interested in dollar signs than actually making a quality product (hello CD Projekt). It hurts the soul to think of all the passion and potential that was flushed down the toilet thanks to the comic crash, though I suppose some kind of shift would have been forced by high-speed internet eventually anyway.

Regardless, thanks for uploading these. Getting into furry around '00, Taral was always one of the old guard I was vaguely aware of, but I never really knew what his core stuff was. It's good that it's archived like this now, so much of this stuff just vanishes if people aren't careful.
