I always wondered why people insist on giving her a dick, but never having played the game, I had no idea. I did a little research this time around and found out it was mostly politics.

They designed a female character for her original appearance, but then decided it was a bad idea to have girls fight guys, so they decided they'd just say she was a guy in drag (transvestite).

Somehow in the move to America, she became full transgender. But there seems to be alot of controversy over it all. I still prefer her as a woman though, so I was really happy to hear that she had a look-a-like who actually is supposed to be a woman.

Roxy is the same as Poison except with Red hair (instead of purple) and lower stats to reflect she's a woman. There also seems to a blonde version named Kiss. Sadly, it seems like all 3 tend to show up as futas regardless of continuity. Well, no big deal, this is hentai after all. Everybody is free to enjoy their kinks.

Not sure why Poison and Hugo are beating up on Asuka Kazama from Tekken here, but there you go. Turns out Poison and Hugo have been friends for a long time and he always does what she says. So this sort of pairing makes perfect sense to me.

@copyof all 3 of the characters in the doujin are playable in Street Fighter X Tekken, so it probably was a doujin of it.

Honestly the reasoning for making Poison a transgender character is arguably even more offensive than just the original concept, but it kind of stuck.

@copyof Problem with just accepting that information is original concept artwork from before the game was made having the 'Newhalf' designation. If they weren't at least thinking of it they wouldn't have used it.

Officially, they are leaving it ambiguous, up to the player to decide. So whether Poison is trans or not, it's up to you. Kind of cheap, but that's where we're at.

I used to get into the occasional flame war whether Poison was a woman or a tran. I like that she's officially now "Whatever floats your boat sailor". You can't ever tell me she's a pre-op though.
