Wish they'd just used the Japanese names in this. Rockman Dash is a re-imagining where Dr. Light doesn't exist, Roll is human and Rock is more of a bioroid than a machine and everything takes place in a post apocalypse "after the fall" scenario where technological civilization is just starting to get put back together from the leftover scraps of the previous age. In that light calling him "Megaman" doesn't make much sense and "Rock" is a much more logical name.

@AtomicSkull Naming conventions aside this is Megaman Canon.

Legends is the end of the timeline.
OGMegaman gets scrapped by Wily's SigmaZero.
XMegaman lets the space base wipeout humanity in X4

(technically X5+ and the Zero and XZ series are/were their own branch but given the vagueness of the timeline most of it still slots in as long as a handful of humans escape and the planet generally goes inhospitable which surprise surprise it keeps doing.)

Last Humans build Reaverbots to pull a WALL-E when dust settles.
Last Humans turn off Reaverbots and initiate wholesale (but flawed) cloning initiative (to stress test environment maybe?)
Last Humans Intend to replace cloned humans with some kind of special mass cloned humans with OG human memories plugged in.

Naturally Cloned Humans, and half the AI Overseer system did not approve of such a gross waste of resources. And Genocide.
Its never explained WHY Clones have to die so more clones can replace them...

The Timeline is thus left with all AI Overseers stuck on the moon, and the WALL-E system reactivating in total rampancy.

Also the world is 99% water because Icecaps melted, and flying Winnebago are the standard.

@AnonApe They are technically organic human, just undesirable genetics for memory insertion. Also this is at least 3 generations of clones having kids in.
Adding robot parts is the settings prosthetics since being is extra deadly given the murderbot WALL-E thing.
Trigger is a cyborg though, everyone else but Baby Bonne is supposed to be genetically engineered human clones.
