Please do not do MTL in the future. I understand you want an English translation out there but MTL does more harm than good. I'm not going to tell you learn the language because that's very hard, but perhaps you could spare some cash and commission the actual JP-to-EN translators out there. Quality translations go a long way.

Bruh, the only correction for you is never do MTL. It makes actual TLs less likely to want to bother, since they would generally prefer to do stuff with no translations at all.

Complaining about mtl after something has been out for half a decade because "TL's won't want to do it" is hilarious. They already decided they weren't going to do it, it's been out 4-5 years now. After 2-3 years of no TL, fuck it, let the shit tier tl's or the mtl's take a shot at it and see what they can do, because the alternative IS nothing.

the problem lies in knowing even a little of the raws makes this fall apart, try to play it safe so you don't accidentally make a rewrite of a work

It's not true that no one would have ever translate it, it just means most people aren't aware of it. There is a request forum for a reason. There is a bounty system for a reason. Why not just make up your own story in Paint, if you care about seeing words you understand on the page that badly. well yeah, take into account that a significant amount of users on this site are not Japanese, and you start to see that... most JP (untranslated or otherwise) uploads I see have way less comments/ratings/etc than resulting EN translations. that's just my own experience of course, but I still consider it to be an accurate guesstimation.
also consider that some people favorite shit that they wish to see done better at a later date... I have two favorite categories specifically for that, "Todo" and "Wishlist". A "favorite" does not necessarily mean "I like this" despite the name, "bookmark" may be a better term. I also have favorite categories for humorous comment sections and really really bad trash that I like to laugh at.
I'll also say that it is indeed true that there are those that simply don't give a shit about the quality of a TL, and they may even outnumber those that desire good quality TLs, but under no circumstances does that excuse poor TLs for being poor. it's like saying just because a lot of people are OK with eating shit-tier McDonalds that everyone should be OK with it. there is a reason there is better-for-you and better-tasting food out there, just like there's a reason there are better scanlation groups out there, because there is a demand for good quality and that demand is met by the market.

and yes, Yuuta will be translating this whole series. it will take him a while because of backlog. hopefully we can expect it soon.

I love seeing people pirating hentai against the wishes of the copyright owner are taking the moral high ground when it comes to MTL's because it puts translators out of work. The hypocrisy is strong and the ratings of this and others should be monitored so the ratings are based off the quality of the work, not how the work was made.
