I didn't live this drama but it seems complex af. Apparently Sammy was a diaper artist but who mainly commissioned other artists, and took a tone of art slots thanks to money and became broke. Also, her comissions are supposed to be too much simple & were criticized for being mainly her (his) OC and apparently got harassed, stalked & received death threats for that. Some times after Merunyaa left the community, she (he?) did too. I know that this thread isn't way better but all the infos that I got are from there :

Thank you for sharing the information. VEry fucked up. She commissioned some of the best damn stuff from so many places. Sketchman's comic with her and ochako was great, until it just kinda died.

Sammy's issue was the sheer over saturation of their OC and the fact that they took up so many commission slots which could have been for other characters and OC's. There was a time that most new art that came out in the diaper fetish scene was Sammy art in some shape or form. There's nothing wrong about getting art of your OC but when Sammy got so much art of themselves that it was almost all you could find when looking for decent new fetish art that's when people got annoyed, especially since most of the art was simply Sammy just standing or sitting in a diaper and nothing more interesting. When people pointed this out or criticized Sammy for this Sammy doubled down and got even more art and taunted anyone who criticized them or said they got too much art. Even other major artist came to defend her but Sammy's critic's say they did this because Sammy was such a major costumer willing to pay so much money for diaper art. It even got to a point where all of the major artists at the time threw a celebration for Sammy called "Cinco de Sammy". During this celebration Sammy got a butt load of free art of their OC from some of the best artist in the fetish. It was at this point that a lot of people decided whether they liked or disliked Sammy, for it being a cute character that got a lot of art or a circle jerk for someone that had a lot of disposable income and were only friends with artists because they had a lot of money. There were some rumors of Sammy being super rich or what gender they were and why they left but this was all just speculation. Sammy says they left because they were tired of the diaper fetish but people would say its because she got doxxed, I believed it was the latter because it was also the same time that couple of other prominent diaper artists left that others say who also got doxxed and to this day new Sammy art pops up every now and again.

I don't get why people would get mad at people for funding artists they like. Even if you don't like the art itself, by that funding those artists can support themselves better and the space can grow.
