A requested doujin. Had less effort put into this than usual.

I'm asking for learning resources for Japanese. Courses, Websites, etc... Anything is great, free options are fantastic but I don't really expect them to be that available so recommend me anything I'll check it out!

Thanks in Advanced!

Find the raws here: https://e-hentai.org/g/1848928/3aa48fb34b/
https://www.dlsite.com/maniax/work/=/product_id/RJ270658.html

Feel free to take over the project ^-^

This series is odd. She gets molested in every chapter yet never penetrative sex.

My recommendation to you, first off, is please stop releasing things for public consumption until you can actually understand Japanese, and perhaps firm up your confidence with English as well. You are not helping anyone understand the story as you yourself do not understand the story. You're just guessing, which around these parts is known as a "rewrite." That's bad, by the way. For example...

First page alone:
The first panel, her phone rings, but she's not near it because she's in the middle of cooking. You didn't TL the SFX (her phone ringing), so that's probably why it didn't make sense to you. "Yes, yes, I'm coming!" would've been the correct TL for that first bubble. The second bubble is, "Hello~!" then "Ah! Nao-kun? Yes, I was just--" (She was about to say "cooking dinner," but got cut off). Next panel is "Eh......!?" followed by "I see......okay. I understand. Talk to you later." And the last panel is, "No waaaay! Today was Nao-kun's birthday so I put a ton of effort into it and everything!!"

So on top of getting the grammar completely wrong and failing to understand who is saying what for what reason (Japanese is a context-based language and you've clearly missed all the context), you manage to even get the husband's name wrong. In fact, it's -so- wrong that I have no idea where the hell you managed to think it was "Sir" and "Hisao." What the hell???????????? Anyway, for that and all the other blatant, silly mistakes, this deserves the rewrite tag.

But since you asked for learning resources and appear to be geniune in your desire to learn, my recommendations if you're going to start by self-learning are to get a book on particle words, and a book on verb conjugations. My recommendations for these are "All About Particles" by Naoko Chino, and "The Handbook of Japanese Verbs" by Taeko Kamiya. These two books alone will get you the vast majority of Japanese grammar...and once you have grammar down, you can start understanding sentences, and fill in the blanks with vocabulary. That said, there are plenty of colloquialisms and other quirks to the language that books aren't going to cover very well, and that's why taking formal classes with a native speaker is highly recommended.

Best of luck to you. I hope to not see anything more from you for several years. But once you do, I look forward to adding one more quality translator to E-H's roster.

EDIT: I just noticed that your credit page lists Raz as helping you. If Raz is IronDong, the "Translator" for AZX Translations, then I'm afraid he's not going to be much help to you either. I busted him relying on MTL and guessing at shit by looking at the pictures as well.

Thanks for the HELP! I really appreciate it. My goal in releasing this work is to get criticisms from a much larger audience, I don't function well in a teacher-student setting. I like receiving criticisms and such for me to improve, I prefer learning in a "proactive" way. People are free to re-TL my works and such, I care about them a fair bit but if people are bothered by how things are translated I can't really stop them. I'm also learning how to Redraw and Typeset. Thanks again for the recommendations, I'll definitely check them out.

Oh, also. I'm signing up for college japanese courses after this semester ^-^

"Learning in a proactive way" by releasing things that claim to be English translations is not kosher. Please do not do this anymore. We already have a huge problem with people attempting to pass off machine translated garbage as accurate translations. We don't need even more.

Best of luck with your studies, I honestly mean that. The more people around here who actually do understand Japanese, the better. But until that time, I implore you to reconsider releasing the garbage you have been. No one is better for it, so it is best not being made in the first place.

But I never claimed that mine was accurate, I say in my credits that it is MTL, sorry if it came out that I was claiming that it was accurate TL. ty for the insight

EDIT: Raz did not help me with TL, he just helps me with Grammar and TS. The TL was all me

If you do not claim it is accurate, why bother?

By releasing it as English, you are in fact claiming it is an English translation, when it is not. Since you know for a fact it is not accurate, you should simply not make it in the first place. Or if you do make it for some reason, have enough self-respect to not release it for public consumption. The majority of folks here will not know that it is not a real English translation, since it gets tagged as one anyway. At least at the moment, we do not have any special tag for MTLs (I really wish we did), and while yours was so bad that it actually earned the Rewrite tag (again, for managing to get all the names wrong), not all MTLs do, and yet they very clearly do not convey what the author actually wrote.

That's why galleries like this should not exist. Because those who make them need to learn to respect themselves enough to not release garbage. Please, invest more in your education if translation is really what you want to do. And once you get to the point where you go, "Shit, this is actually really difficult, I don't know if I can properly speak for this artist, this is a lot of responsibility..." then, and only then, should you consider giving this another shot.

Good lord, the arrogance and self-inflated smug sense of superiority here is fucking stifling. Literally stifling, and I mean that in every aspect of the term.

Get the fuck over yourself, dude. Some of us appreciate less-than-perfect efforts. Knock off the 'you have transgressed and now I shall dispense the Lord's Justice upon your pathetic, flawed attempt and inform you how lowly and worthless it, and you, are.' bullshit. Seriously, you sound like an incel self-flagellating goon that loves to shame people wearing non-period outfits at Ren Faire.

OP, please continue your efforts. Don't let the actchuallys get you down.

The actual state of E-Hentai. Yes, surely I'm the problem, not morons who don't understand Japanese and don't have a firm grasp over English claiming to "translate" things from Japanese to English.
