Think someone misused the poor grammar and rewrite tags. My translation is as literal as possible. I have also tripple checked now for grammatical errors. Just found one instance where I wrote it's instead of its. (Edit: fixed)
Also found this on the wiki entry for poor grammar: "A gallery comment MUST detail the mistakes otherwise the tag is invalid."

I'm not gonna dissect your translation, but being "as literal as possible" is not something you should ever strive for. This reads like a MTL and I wouldn't be surprised if it was. A translator's job is to translate, which means to accurately convey the meaning, tone, and color of the original text NATURALLY into the target language. This manages to do none of that.

Don't use Manga Temple. Awful, ugly-ass font. Wild Words, CCVictorySpeech and others are much better.

My other translation was received really well. So I don't know what's your problem with my translation. Also, you are contradicting yourself. You are saying that I should either rewrite the dialog or have to live with a poor grammar tag. However, what I am doing is sticking close to the original while adapting concepts of the English language when needed. And if you don't like the font I am using, so be it. I am just doing this for fun and as a Japanese exercise

Additionally, let me give you some criticism on how you approached me. You could have gone on nicely about it and could have said something like, "Hey, cool that you are getting into translating. I see that this is your second translation. I would like to give you some advice. The font that you are using, Manga Temple, is low-key becoming the next Comic Sans. Here are some alternatives. Feel free to check them out". But instead, you barged in demandingly with an imperative and negatively connoted adjectives like "awful" and "ugly-ass".

I didn't say your translation was shit, I said it read like shit. In fact, I'm not even the one who tagged this. Not once did I say you should "rewrite" anything, I said you should be more natural when translating and take into consideration character voice and tone. Also, rewriting and bad grammar aren't mutually exclusive tags.

I've seen people praise literal rewrites and "translations" that were barely legible. The standards on this site are pathetically low, so I'd take any "praise" you receive from coomers with a grain of salt. They'd thank someone for shitting down their throats and then ask for seconds.

That said, this isn't bad for your 2nd project. I REALLY hope you take into consideration advice on fonts and typesetting, because you dismissing this kind of criticism with a flippant "WELL, I JUST DO THIS FOR FUN XD" is not only incredibly childish, but also extremely infuriating and lazy. We don't need more people who give 0 shit on here. If you want to keep translating, then at least be willing to improve in areas where there's improvement to be had.

EDIT: You're right, I could be nicer in my criticism and less blunt. However, spend any amount of time on here, and you'll see how much garbage floods EH daily. I'm jaded, but I also care about quality.

The thing is, these topics are all subjective. Personally I have nothing against Manga Temple and I like to cater my translation towards the purists. I just wanted to point that out and that the tags are being misused. Even if the phrasing is a little unnatural at times due to being too "Japanese" there are still no grammatical errors or typos, therefore poor grammar simply does not apply by its definition (also, "A gallery comment MUST detail the mistakes otherwise the tag is invalid."). Same with rewrite. Like I said, I have stuck so much to the original that you are critiquing it, so a rewrite is the least thing possible.

1.) Thanks for the translation but unfortunately you made the very very very very popular rookie mistake of using e-hentai's standard downscaled to 1280px horizontal res images instead of the original sized images.

Please use the original sized images for editing and not e-hentai's downscaled 1280px horizontal resolution images for future projects.

You can download the original resolution images via one of the following methods:
0. Stay away from aggregator sites like nh as they normaly just copy the reduced 1280px resolution images from this site.
1. Torrent Download (if available; WARNING torrents not always contain the latest or the full res version of a gallery. Downscaled torrents normally have 1280x in their names)
2. Archive Download (click on "Archive Download" and "Download Original Archive"; e-hentai account and some GP or Credits required)
3. The "Download Original" link at the bottom of each individual image (if there is noch such link the image on your screen and the original are identical)

2.) Please delete Manga Temple from your PC. This font is just unpleasently pointy and ugly. In my opinion the creators of this font deserve a 3 month vacation in a Stalin era labour camp for creating it.

3.) Keeping your translations "as literal as possible" is the quality standard inside of schools. For professional manga translators it's what cutegyaru is trying to explain to you. And what is with words that have no direct translations? An example from spanish is the verb amanecer that's saying something like it's becoming/getting morning. Or how would you translate this little sentence "私と夜伽をして頂けませんか?" (for context look here https://e-hentai.org/s/042cae0290/1492093-9) "as literal as possible"?

Thanks for the advice. The thing is that I am coming from NH like you said and just found out about e-hentai recently when I was seaching for "how to upload to *****". Downloading galleries should be simple with JDownloader. Might redo this and what I have done of part 3 so far (WIP). Same with the font. If multiple people don't like it I will consider changing it. And like I said, I implement English concepts when needed. Recent example for this is part 3 page 10 where it says いつもお疲れ様 which I translated as "Thank you for always working hard"

Between CCVictorySpeech and Wild Words which one would you guys prefer?

Your translation is better than any translation I have ever done and I applaud you for putting out a piece of work for criticism. If this is something you want to continue and improve on I suggest you look at translation theory and read Walter Benjamin's essay, The Task of the Translator.

Thanks, but like I already said, I am just doing this as a hobby and as a Japanese exercise. I don't strive to become a professional translator. I am just uploading them because it makes no difference for me whether or not I keep them to myself. And maybe someone else gets to enjoy the manga this way which they couldn't before because of the language barrier

@Dark-wings Don't worry. I am currently working on part 3. It's halfways done. If I continue like this I expect to be done at the end of the weekend, but no guarantee

Also one question: I have noticed the daughter tag got added. Does that apply to in-laws as well? If it does, shouldn't the father tag also be added?
