I think this might be pretty gay though as I believe that Bassel might be a pre-op trans male. He has what looks like surgery scars on his chest if you look at page 19.

I think that is considered sexual preference. If someone identifies as a man, their sexual bits are of less relevance, they would still be considered man and them together with a biological male would be considered a gay relationship. Then there is of course sexual preferences and you are fully within your right to say that you are not attracted to a man with a vagina.

For me, I find women attractive, that is the base level for me, their sexual part is secondary and can be whatever they personally feel comfortable with. I still consider myself heterosexual in that manner.

I actually enjoyed this one cuz it mostly served to Amon think and decide about what he wants in a rational manner, not with passion or lust in mind, he still a "kid". Sure, Monique was the one to raise him, but seems that she never was open enough for Amon to say what he truly feels about anything, in which Kyra fulfilled that role pretty well. That's what I got anyway. Monique is mostly trying to get Amon on the "good side" and not become a "too much free spirit" like her and Kyra were, which might lead to serious consequences.

Regardless, I'm greatly enjoying all those character and their dynamics (loved Bassel! Such a great friend to have, even if you don't get to fuck lol). Hopefully we'll keep seeing more chapters in the future, even if we take a bit longer to get to a full three-way with them (right now seems unnecessary and forced), or even never gets to it, I'm actually ok with that.

Yeaaaaah......No. The art is not good enough that the artist or writer can pull off Bassel's gender with the context presented. Before I said she was competent as an artist, but there simply wasn't enough exposition on Bassel for the reader to get that Bassel IS a male turned....whatever. Point being, with anthros and THIS comic the artist/writer has to be specific with the character's orgins. If you are going to bring in an intimate-friend-of-the-past, then those character traits MUST be CLEARLY established.
I'm still confused as to what sex Bassel is supposed to be....? A very athletic female, i.e. low A-cup?? Or a post-op male!? These questions come up because it is ALREADY established she-males are a thing and accepted as a norm, and boys have feminine eyelashes & female mannerisms. Bassel has no discerning gender upon Amon's discovery, their meeting outside the shop, or their flashback sequences. It is STILL not clear even when they undress. Sure Bassel has a chest, but is SHE flat chested from being a swimmer?? Or is it a characteristic of being a certain species of Anthro??? There is no voice-recognition because this is a drawn comic, not an anime. So how are we supposed to be able to tell?? At the end I just marked it up as the writer introducing a female of the main character's age and getting HER advice. Even when Bassel dropped Amon at his penis-mother's house, I just assumed Bassel was a female and penis-mother mis-gendered Bassel at a glance.

The tagging system does not care about gender identities, only visual appearances.
A FtM is a cuntboy, the same way a MtF is a dickgirl (shemale).
Neither should ever be tagged as yaoi or yuri respectively as both are intersex, not male or female.
Also this shouldn't be tagged as futanari because there is no character with both genitalia.

This is a good comic as far as hentai goes.
The premise behind the comic is hypocritical horseshit! Having tits does not make you female. Neither does saying it. Genitalia makes you female; anything else is delusion. This dude's mom-with-a-dick is a dude with big titties. If "he" had both genitals, _then_ "he" would have had the option to call himself female; but HE doesn't. Fortunately for the character, it's up to what the artist wants the story to be.
And as for his "buddy," that's a just a chick who has done a hatchet-job on her chesticles. She's no more a dude than whats-her-face in RL, Ellen Paige (???) What's her name now?? Edgar...? Eddie...? Whatever. Gender is not something you can speak into existence nor make possible with present day surgery.
Anywho, this is a good comic on a hentai level. And I have to give it to the artist for portraying what trannies wished the world could be like. It still seems awfully confusing but sexually exciting, nonetheless.
