The drone tech from WIN Industries is based on the pod monster which can be found in the wasteland.

Host capture process of pod monster
Step 1
When the pod monster detects some possible hosts nearby, it will use the slime inside its body and spit them on the target.
The slime will melt the host’s protective gear. In the meantime, the slime will start to encase the host’s body to make sure the host can’t run away.

Step 2
The slime will very quickly encase the host’s body. Normally the host doesn't have enough time to call for help or run away.
During this process, with the help of external forces, the host still has a chance to escape.

Step 3
If there is no external force involved, the host itself will not be able to escape. After a period of time, the mucus will gradually coagulate and penetrate into the host's own skin and fuse with the nervous system of the host's own skin. At the same time, the mucus will gradually coagulate into the host's second skin, but this layer of skin will completely wrap the host in it. At this time, the pod monster has completely seized control of the host body and tries to move around the habitat.

Step 9
After adapting to the new body, the symbiotic relationship between the pod monster and the host will become closer, and the mouthparts of some pod monsters will gradually become smaller until they are completely closed, sealing the host completely. At this time, the physical function of the host will be significantly enhanced, and the perception, speed and strength will be much higher than ordinary people. However, because the pod monster itself is still a creature, this symbiotic suit is easily destroyed by traditional kinetic energy weapons and sharp edge weapons, but the pod monster symbiotic suit has a high tolerance to energy weapons.

The Prototype Drones

After the investigation team reported that they had witnessed the pod monster and its symbiotic host, WIN INDUSTRIES managed to capture some pod monsters for research. After mastering the gene sequence of the pod monster, the cloned pod monster was successfully realized through the research of Lilith, chief scientist of WIN INDUSTRIES.
