Wow. You should really NOT use a blur filter on screentone pages. Or save them as JPEG either.

Level them properly, save as grayscale PNG, and at most reduce the number of colors if you must reduce filesize instead.

@piespy This was debound and scanned by completely green hands on their shit normal home scanner... As you can see, probably not the best copy in the world but the best I had access to.

I am in contact with the scanner and I know they still have the physical pages, so if you have a list of instructions/suggestions I can try to persuade them. But I give no promises. I'm just happy to see the boats.
