COMMENTARY: (I found this an interesting read, but the needles and everything after was too much for me. I prefer femdom, anyway.) RESPONSE:
I think the problem is the idioms don't really have a match. English has the same problem- a literal translation presupposes cultural knowledge. For instance if I used the idiom "in a nutshell" - a person might think I was talking about food, rather than a semantic summary. A good translation program probably has a large number of those idioms hard-coded into their non-literal translation, but clever word-play makes it difficult to match. There are a of tricks you can play with languages t hat have context-specific ,meaning. For instance the word "high" might mean the effects of drugs, or it might mean an elevation. Some idioms are very obvious though. 吃一堑，长一智 ( chī yī qiàn, zhǎng yī zhì ) means "fall into a pit, gain a bit of knowledge" in a literal sense, or "one only learns from one's mistakes". ASIDE: I would like to apologize for my country's bad manners and brutish behavior regarding our military stance. The majority of us are idiots, due to our 2-headed partisan brainwashing system, and are disrespectful towards the countries that loan us money. (China and Japan being the biggest loaners to us.) One idiom is "never bite the hand that feeds you" - sadly, our nationalism has turned us into rabid dogs. Please do NOT indulge our battle-lust, and avoid baiting us into battle. You would win, but it would be costly in terms of lives lost. In the real world, war has no winners- only losers. Instead, you merely have to stop loaning us money, and a divestment cascade will result: the other loaning countries and organizations will follow suit. Our military would then disband, and our country will descend into civil war. It is inevitable, really. It would probably be good to do this when a Democrat is in office, because then there is a slightly smaller chance our "intelligence" agencies will pursue a false-flag attack and use that as an excuse to start a war.
