Indeed though I admit my first thought was even if you think he's lying or pranking do you not confirm . . .

1) Can I change back?
2) How do I change back and/or prevent that happening (such as oh say losing your virginity)?
3) Is it physical only or will my personality be changed (though this is hard to do when getting something off someone who would probably lie)?
4) Will it change anything other than my body (clothes, credit cards, licences, etc, gaining magic powers)?

5) What do your elf eye's see? Especially given some fantasy genres let you see magic.

Ohh I hadn't thought of that but your right if she's a DnD elf then she may not only never actually "sleep" but be mechanically immune to anything that is a "sleep" effect.

Hmmm, I am suddenly reminded of all those suppliments dealing with way's magic can be altered by environmental or material (types of metal, land,etc), of course it could also be from a game using the adult only suppliments (I know of 1 fan made one for 1st ed and an official 3rd party one for 3.5).

I like how grounded this feels. The interactions in chapter 2 feel natural. Taking the berry for the sake of experimentation and rationality is pleasing. Yes, there's a lot of talking, but it actually feels like a bunch of friends actually conversing. Other than that, the Alita elf is very cute.
