Marin is a cosplayer in the anime and she cosplays multiple people, includiung this girl named "Shizuku Kuroe".

@zwei7 Marin should only be tagged when someone who doesn't know that can still recognize its the same character as other search results on the tag, this is specifically why characters that can/did transform are given their own separate character tags for the new appearance if they've changed enough to be unrecognizable for people unaware of the canon. As far as I know Shizuku has been the first time this logic had to be applied to characters cosplaying as other characters.

Should be noted that I intend to start forum discussion on allowing the Cosplaying tag in the Cosplay category for the niche of "cosplayception" but this gallery would not be valid for the tag as it would require the character.....stuck in the middle so to say.....to still be recognizable, this gallery you could argue the Cosplayer cut out the middle man entirely and cosplayed Shizuku directly and the only real argument against it would be "but I want to pretend my porn follows the canon accurately", which is an argument that might be considered for Cheating or NTR and accepted unless canon is explicitly contradicted for Incest, but doesn't even stand a chance at being taken seriously for visual tags (which character tags are).

Edit, so mod ruling on this is that Marin is a special exception where visual tagging does not apply and the character can be tagged on the mere assumption of being involved.

I thought about the posibility of her cosplaying marin cosplaying shizuku but seemed a bit far fetched. I'll just follow whatever people think is correct as I am not invested on the topic. Just that I cant see the Marin in this cosplay compared to other shizuku cosplays.

Will keep myself updated on the forum so I do know about the consensus on this one.

@Glovelove Please do post something. Marin’s made this whole thing even more confusing, but I’ve also seen quite a bit in Kancolle galleries. There are a lot of galleries where the cosplayer dresses as Kashima cosplaying as Shimakaze.

There are also some murky areas to address. For instance, in https://e-hentai.org/g/2207276/c62c98ebfe/, is Shigure actually cosplaying as Shimakaze, or is she simply borrowing Shimakaze’s clothes? I think cosplayception since Shimakaze’s outfit is distinctive, but I’m open to other arguments. (Similarly, I’ve seen people use reasoning about “simply wearing clothes” vs true cosplay to expunge galleries.)

I will, its partly waiting for the right moment (we're coming out of a big spike of activity on tag suggestions board, didn't want to pile on more when attention was already stretched thin), and there's a bunch of other tags I'm planning to suggest like 3d CG, Cosplay Imageset (for those galleries that are themed around a specific cosplayer, a specific convention or nothing at all where you just know you'd be lucky if anything tagged even has a 20p sequence to make the tag technically valid), a tweak to the Oni tag so that we'd no longer need 2 separate searches to find girls with horns and eventually of course Long Gloves. I need to space everything out a bit and find the right examples, in case of "Cosplayception" that mostly involves proving there's more to it than just Kashima X Shimakaze (which makes up like half of the examples gathered because its such a common combination, with Shigure x Shimakaze being a decent chunk of the other half)
