@rick-kun : She is a girl who time-shifted a bit before a critical air-raid happened and made a big fire in the city, burning it to the ground. In the normal timeline, she was there and she guided the citizens and the grandma to the shrine, where the flames couldn't go. She saved them.

But as she time-shifted BEFORE this event, she wasn't there to help the citizens. They certainly died in the fire, so they and their descendants aren't supposed to exist anymore, even the memories of their existence.

A classic time paradox. But time can't tolerate them. If they happen, then mandatory corrections must be done (the city inhabitants have to be replaced, memories must be corrected, etc.).
