@DrunkSuika what is it with this sites obsession that doujinshi can only be made by ethnically Japanese people, at best you can categorize it as a drawing style i'd say. just looking at the term doujinshi it would be any self written and published work no matter the style.
And looking at style this work would be far closer to asian works than western. And if we are solely basing tagging on ethnicity would that make 3d render stuff made by a Japanese person a doujinshi?
Point being I would qualify this as doujinshi as the art style is what I would expect of a work tagged as such.

@suratkabar Wasn't aware of those classifications on the forums. Considering that a reclass is indeed valid.
Could still argue about said classifications but that would be mostly pointless, atleast in comments to a work.

More related to the art than tagging diplomacy, I do like it, no matter how it should be tagged ;)

The reason that we use the classification system we do, is because it is communally agreed to. And while arbitrary. THERE IS IMMENSE VALUE IN THE METADATA TAGS. If you don't like the system, ignore it. But do not abuse it or try to derail about the epistemology of what is and isn't a doujinshi. I like Western just as much if not more so than Eastern media, but the classification is still a useful label for sorting and organization.

MeowWithMe regularly remakes old Japanese content with permission from the artists such as redrawing milda007's stories. The original source was an Adobe Flash animation of a boy transforming on a train which is now dead unsupported technology that no one dares to install. Would be nice to have an indicator for western art with manga styles, though. There's just too much absolutely terrible Western art for me to want to sift through it, regrettably a lot of decent stuff gets lost that way as well.
