I feel like the watashi/ore needs some context for non-Japanese speakers -
Watashi is a first person pronoun that connotes formality and femininity and is mostly used by feminine speakers and not masculine ones unless they want to come across as stuffy.
Ore is a first person pronoun that heavily connotes masculinity and status or familiarity and is basically never used by women.

So the implication here is that the bug that fused with her was masculine and has brought that identity along with it, with the last page carrying implications something to the effect of:

"According to my(hers/stiffly formal) memories-" and "Give birth to lots of me(him)" and "we have to turn them into me(hims), just like we did with me(her)"
Culturally subtle connotations are interesting but translating them is hard. I think the context makes this one hotter though!
