I have such a strange connection with Monogatari series. I started watching anime back in 2007 - 08 and Bakemonogatari was one of the few that made me think how creative anime can be.

I watched Rozen Maiden and thought oh wow this is bright and happy but has a darker tone towards the end
I watched Zero no Tsukiama and thought this must be Isekai
I watched Code Geass and thought this is story development and politics
I watched Spice & Wolf and thought this is slice of life and romance

I watched Bakemonogatari and thought OMG this is art. I like how everything has a solid colour and can be abstract and characters talk in riddles. I even own a Black hanekawa Tsubasa neko model (where shes on a rooftop)

But for some reason I just never got into the others like Nise, Kismono or Nekomonogatari
