head empty's inaugural homosex™ release is a whopping 118-pages of Shimakaze-kun! Special thanks to mysterymeat3 and Brolen as I had adapted their original scripts for the new scans. Thanks to At4r1 as well for the Ch. 2 script, which was a bounty from 2019-ish. scav, cutegyaru, and gis helped with adapting the old scripts to today's standards, along with various other SFX and QC tips. The primary motivation of doing this was to translate the tank on better scans since the other raw gallery is lacking in many regards.

Overall, this was a lot of fun to work on. Chapter 3 is my personal favourite. I was brainrotting so hard on this project that I finished the redraw and typesetting in just under two weeks. 9 pages a day on average. Some of the halftone redrawing was utter hell.

I didn't make all the changes I wanted to make to the script because that would necessitate going through every line and changing basically everything, and I did that already with Hyocorou's OreImo thing and I don't want to do that again. Basically just touched up some of the more egregious examples of clunky wording.

I'm sorry, what? How is the first one "way better drawn"? Just looking at the first few pages you can see how the new version has more detail, better anatomy and expressions and is just a more matured version of the first. With the way the art is subjective and all you can prefer whatever version for whatever reason, but this is probably the most clear cut case of an "objectively" improved version I've ever seen.

That being said, my first reaction was that it's pointless to redraw a piece like this instead of churning out something fresh. However, now that I see them side by side it's really interesting to see the evolution of drawing technique over the years and I suddenly wish that more artists would revisit their old work and do a redraw to showcase how they've changed with time.

@thekiller2413 the art is indeed different, but the style, imo it's better in the first one, especially the expressions, the ones in this new one are more tame, the only one he was feeling it more, even had a nicer ahegao at the climax, even if with les "details" but yes, art is indeed subjective tho
