Bridget is a trans woman according to Strive, the latest game in the series. Continuing to tag her as male:tomgirl is definitely useful (people who look for tomgirls will probably also be looking for Bridget), but refusing to use female tags will mean excluding her from searches that are intended to find her.

That you dislike the game's canon does not mean the game's canon did not happen. If you want to claim mistranslation, please get an actual source for that.

It's worth keeping in mind that this is a hentai-archival site, and tags should be used to make searching for characters easier, not to push political ideologies.

That being said, the tags are for people to find what gets them off, rather than being technically correct; she adheres to a femboy/trap aesthetic, people who want to beat their meat/flick their clit to femboys & traps will prefer to see her, and people looking for trans/futa/dickgirl will be less interested.

Creator said Bridgets pronouns are she not that he's a girl. That means bridget identifies as a girl and biologically a guy, not "trans and girl". Also 2 decades of femboy doesnt get suddenly negated by 2 lines of content, regardless of what the author says unless he literally retcons it. So even if you say bridget is trans people can very easily just choose to only be referring to the bridget before this game
