How is a wider audience enjoying a creative work unfair to YOU? Is me posting a comic, and fixing it to be something people can read, adding scene direction and sfx that the artist failed to add makes it more enjoyable. Don't like it, perhaps use your money and encourage the artist to improve.

We don’t have all the crappy stuff like a tag for every hair colour or a tag for what type of building characters are in. And since a tag has to be present in 25% of a gallery to be tagged, you don’t end up with galleries where a tag that only appears in one out of 50 images is present.

The BEST tagging system? Yah no, I don't know what your experience is of SEO, but heavily restricting tags doesn't improve a site. E621 has one of the best, minus their cancer community guide lines that makes it a massive safe space.

I disagree with you. I've been in this sphere, professionally. No offense to the random people on the internet who tend to enjoy acting like they know better about...everything, quite a small percentage of them can actually back it up.

If your tagging system isn't designed to MAXIMIZE a persons ability to FIND porn on a site designed to allow people to LOOK at porn, then its not doing its job.

You can literally set those limitations in your tagging criteria, but that's also a restriction of the sites tagging system because each individual image, in image dumps should be separate. This site, unlike e621, likes to allow people to upload a whole shit load of random images into galleries, meanwhile no one will ever see those images unless they're individually tagged. That way people can find EXACTLY the image they're looking for instead of sifting through 500 images to find the ONE image tagged with what they want. But hey, knowing its there...is a lot better than having no tags at all to go on and having to mindlessly drift through thousands of image dumps like I used to have to do like...15 years ago. Meticulously deleting all the crap and guess what grew on top of that meticulous attention to detail and having higher standards? Appreciation and communal support, giving rise to the existence of websites that do exactly that, stop you from having to sift through buckets of absolute shit.
